Rules I Try to Live By -- A Work in Progress

1. Never lie.
2. Never do anything I’d be ashamed to admit.
3. Never tell friends what to do. (If I told you to have a nice day, I slipped.)
4. I don’t know what you want unless you told me.  I don’t play Guess What I Want.
5. Treat people in a way that respects the infinite value of their personhood.
6. Life is not a zero-sum game: play win-win or not at all.
7. Never make an enemy except in self-defense.
8. Criticize ideas and behavior only -- never people.
9. My greatest power is the power to forgive.
10. Never use words like “sinful,” “dirty,” “naughty,” or “shameful” to describe consensual sex.
11. Dance all night and fuck till lunch.
